Claire McGettrick one of our PhD students from the School of Sociology is a member of the organisation; Justice for Magdalenes Research, this organisation ran a campaign from 2009 to 2013 which led to the State apology to Magdalene women. They donated the archive of that campaign to the (UCD-based) Magdalene Oral History project, and collaborated with Waterford Institute of Technology to digitise the archive.
Pictured below are Claire McGettrick, JFM Research/Irish Research Council Scholar, UCD School of Sociology; Prof Katherine O'Donnell, JFM Research/UCD School of Philosophy; Dr Jennifer O'Mahoney, WIT School of Psychology and Kieran Cronin, Developmental Librarian, WIT at the launch of the digitised archive at WIT last Friday.
